Golden Rule

Today, 12 Jan 2014, the message in my church is on knowledge.
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
3 types of knowledge
a) cognitive: knowledge of science, maths,engineering etc
b) relational: between people, network also known as EQ or emotional Quotient
c) revelation : revealed by God. Revealed by God through the Bible.

   eg . The Golden Rule found in the Bible in Mat 7: 12 : Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
           This golden rule has made Mary Kay Cosmetic a very successful company.

Of course there are other things being shared by the visiting pastor from Singapore but at the end of the message,  Raja from Wangsa Maju came to the Lord. He went to church early in the morning as a visitor and  accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour at the end of the service . Why do I share this news?
Every soul saved is celebrated in heaven. I am going to follow up on him and disciple him so that he will grow strong in his faith in Jesus (Yeshua). I pray that he will bring his whole family to the saving grace of our Lord.

Solar panel project at a remote area in Malaysia

Solar panel donated to these folks in an rural area in Malaysia.

This project was completed in July 2013 and the system is running well.

This Solar Energy System is 12 volt  system.It consist of consist of  one solar panel 40 watt.
The solar panel is installed on the roof. The power generated goes into a controller before connected to the maintenance free battery  (17 AH). From the battery ,it power  3 LED light of 10 watt each which is control by a on/off switch. With 3 LED running simultaneously, it can last to 6.5 hrs
Total cost: RM 1000.( USD 312)

Eye witnesses reports versus angel revelation

About 5 years ago, I have a discussion with a colleague about  an accident or incident and how eye witnesses gave written reports  and later about 500 years later came a man who said he has met with an angel and the "angel" revealed to him a new written report that is very different from the earlier eye witnesses reports.
So who do you trust? The eye witnesses report or the reports that came 500 later not from any eye witnesses but based on the person encounter with a so call angel, He could be an encounter with the devil.

In the same discussion, he said ,"Who is cleaner? A person who takes bath 5 times a day or a person who takes bath only once a week? I thought for a while and answer him, depend on what types of water he is using? Whether he is using dirty water or clean water. If the person who takes bath 5 times a day using dirty water while the other person use clean water once a week, I think the "once a week" person is cleaner.

Death and Eternal Life what a contrast!

Today, the 1st Sunday service for 2014, the church leader re-emphasize the theme on GO Make disciples! Tent maker versus the conventional missionary etc. There was an altar call and several people went out to receive Jesus.
Meanwhile there were demonstration in Klang against the Catholic Church by the Muslim while another group of Muslim supported the Church.  A thought came to me as I read the reports on the internet,
there are two group of people. One group with the knowledge of good and another with the knowledge of evil. It reminded me of the passage in Genesis chapter 2 where it recorded that in the middle of the Garden were 2 trees; the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the other tree is the tree of life. God commanded Adam and Eve not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil for in the day you eat of it you will surely die. Let see the actual passage from the Bible.

Genesis 2:9
The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 2:17
but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

So after Adam and Eve took the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil,their eyes were open and they know good and evil. But in the end they experience death. No matter how good or how evil a person is, in the end he/she still end up death.

God has provided the  tree of life in the beginning,whoever eat from this tree will not die but have everlasting life. Where is this tree now? How to find the fruit and eat from it?

In the Bible Jesus claimed that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life no one come to the Father except through Him. He is also the Bread of Life. He is the Resurrection and the Life. He also claimed He is the Son of God in John 3:16.
So the tree of Life is Jesus.Knowing Jesus exist is like knowing the tree of Life exist.This will not save you, just like Adam and Eve know of the tree of life in the middle of the Garden of Eden. It in the eating of the fruits that really matters. So we have to eat of the fruits from this tree of Life.

How do we eat from the tree of Life?
Jesus commanded us to eat. He took the bread and said, take, eat this is my Body broken for you and He took the cup and said "Drink, this is the new covenant in my blood,which is shed for the remission of sin.

Here the actual verse from the Bible
Mat 26: 26-27

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”

27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new[c] covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”

So to take this Holy communion we have to be in the church (also known as the body of Christ)

Starting all over again....

I have lay off writing for almost a year. So I resolved to write my thought or journal whatever that come my way.
Today is the 3rd  day of 2014, just to recap these 3 days ...
Celebrated our church Thank-giving night on 31st December 2013. It ended at 12.30 am after that we had supper. All in we reach home at 2 am.
 On New Year day, 1 January 2014, I went to work to clear the septic tank together with Jimmy and his grandson.
 2 Jan 2014, went to Bertam, Tohol for my weekly visit to nthe OA kampung and we had a good durian and rambutan feast.
  Jais break-into Bible Society Malaysia to confiscate 300 BM Bible. Their main purpose is to create trouble for the country,to create tension between the Christian and Muslim.This is also to cover for the dissatisfaction of the masses over increase prices and proposed GST. Divide and rule strategy 101.

Jesus (Yeshua) teaches us to turn the other cheek.

But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.     Matthew 5:38-40

They can take the 300 BM Bible, we can download millions of BM Bible if we want to. The internet is free. What we need to do is pray for God's Will to be done. Refer to Mat 28:19

3 Jan 2014  we started our yearly baking cookies for the CNY. Finished 1 kg of green peas cookies.

As  recall these 3 days, The Jais action will cause a dent in the Christian /Muslim harmony & relationship in future. Could it be God  allow this action so that more Muslim will question their faith.

A friend who is suffering from Spinal Motor Neuron Entropy Disease

Today my wife, my daughter and I laid hand and prayed for a friend who is suffering  from Spinal Motor Neuron Entropy Disease . This disease is heredity and cause the muscle to degenerate. This disease attack him when he was 40 years old before this he was a healthy and active sportsman who play badminton regularly.
The early symptom of the disease is that he got tired easily after playing one game whereas he can normally goes for 3 games.He went for a blood test at the advise of his brother who is also suffering from the disease and the blood test confirmed he has contacted the disease.
His daughter did not get the disease but  is likely to be a carrier and in the event the daughter give birth, the offspring if she is a girl then she will  likely be a carrier but if he is a boy there will be a 50% change he will inherit the disease.
 We pray that God will have mercy on our friend and restore and heal him of his disease and to break the generation curse so that his children and grandchildren will not inherit the dreadful disease.
  All things are possible with God. In the Bible, Jesus  has healed the paraplegic man of his disease in Mark chapter 2:12  so we just commit our friend to God in our prayers.
  Miracles do happen and let it happen to our friend that he be healed completely in Jesus's Name. Amen
